The Denmark national football team competes in international competitions. The team's first match occurred on October 19, 1908, against the French national team.

The team's first significant victory was the silver medal at the 1908 Olympic Games in London. Since then, the team has twice repeated its success at the Olympics. In 1948, it brought home Olympic bronze.

Participation in the European Championships has also brought the team success. In 1992, the Danes won the tournament in Sweden. Moreover, it took 3rd place in 1984 in France and at Euro 2020.
